Abstract: Concrete Mix design is the process of finding the right proportions of cement, fine aggregate, coarse aggregate ,water and admixtures to achieve strength and durability requirements .The procedure for designing concrete mixes for general types of construction are recommended in IS 10262:2009.This code is based on the experiments carried out at the national council for cement and building materials, New Delhi. The method is mainly based on the basic assumption that the compressive strength of concrete is governed generally by the water cement ratio. This study investigates the effect of other parameters also on the mix design and the cost of concrete.
